The society we live in is always pushing the grind mode, get to the bag, you can rest when you’re dead, which is ok, but as a society, we need to also push self-care and mental health breaks. Always being on go mode can eventually take its toll on your body and cause a lot of problems in the future.
When our bodies are always pushing themselves to the limit, sooner than later you going to start seeing the effects. You’ll notice how you’re not able to rest, always feeling anxious and constantly concerned about what’s going to happen next.
I understand the grind, hell I appreciate the grind but I will not allow the grind to consume me. I know that if I continue to work hard and put my trust in the Lord, He will not allow me to fail.
When I see myself falling into this constant grind mode, I stop myself, take a break and meditate. Meditation helps me feel closer to God, it allows me to silence my mind and focus on what He is trying to direct me to do.
I also do yoga, it helps to release any built-up tension I’ve been holding on to. Yoga helps with recharging yourself because it’s keeping you active while also ridding your body from built-up anxiety. Anxiety can lay dormant in your shoulders, jaw, neck, and mouth if it gets too bad, and constantly chasing a bag can cause all of this.
What I’m trying to say is it’s ok to grind as hard as you can but please take a break every so often to allow yourself to breathe.
I leave you with love, peace & happiness! Namaste
