We all have that negative voice in our head that tells us we’re not good enough, we’ll never succeed or because your past is so bad there’s no way you can get better but I’m here to tell you that you can overcome that voice by being mindful.
When that negativity in your mind comes up replace it with something positive. Be mindful of that negative thought, ask yourself why does this voice keep popping up, and come up with ideas on how to change that perception but do this without judgment.
Practice gratitude. Every morning say a prayer of gratitude or list things that you are grateful for, it’s easy to get caught up in the pattern of your swirling thoughts so when this happens remember to focus on your breathing and how each breath changes.
The goal of being mindful is to waken the inner workings of our mental, emotional, and physical processes so we can finally stop the negative self-talk that we have come accustomed to.
Allow judgments to roll away and be kind and patient to your wandering mind.
Getting overwhelmed in your thoughts whether worry, fear, anxiety, thoughts of the past- pay attention to where your mind went without judgment. Don’t be hard on yourself, pay attention to those thoughts but remember to replace them with positive thoughts.
You have the power to be great, don’t allow that little negative voice to tell you any different. You are worthy of being the best you possible.
