Ways to Open Your Sacral Chakra

By now you should notice I’m going in-depth with each chakra to give you a better understanding of each. This will help you to see which chakra you need to heal first. It’s said to start with the root chakra but I’ve done things differently and it works for me. So with that being said, this is your journey and you go about the way you feel will help you best.

So what is the sacral chakra also known in Sanskrit as Svadhishthana? It’s the 2nd chakra in the body and is the overseer for creativity and sexual energy. It’s our connection with others and new experiences and creating and sustaining strong boundaries. The principal purpose is fulfillment and an overall sense of contentment.

When you start working on this particular chakra you will start to bring attention to relationships with others and yourself. You will have the freedom to fully express what you want, need, and the feelings of others. You will be able to be the creative person you were destined to be in life. This chakra also opens up our sexual side so that we can be freer to express our sexuality.

This chakra is located below the navel and is controlled by the sex organs, kidneys, and bladder. The color that it represents is orange.

When blocked emotional insecurity of feeling creatively uninspired, fear of change, like of desires, addiction like tendencies, and sexual dysfunction problems.

Crystals that represent this chakra are Orange Calcite, Citrine, Sunstone, Carnelian, Snowflake Obsidian, Red Jasper, Tiger’s Eye, Amber, Tangerine Quartz, and Goldstone.

Ways to unblock and keep the sacral chakra balanced are repeating positive affirmations about sensuality and becoming creative, relaxing in a hot bath, dancing, drawing, journaling, yoga, and connect more with water.
